After a few “red carpet” photos, drinks and appetizers, Mimic’s CEO and Founder Jeff Berkley passed the microphone to Dr. Camran Nezhat who became the Master of Ceremonies. Dr. Nezhat is an internationally renowned laparoscopic surgeon, scientist, and innovator at Stanford University Medical Center, in Palo Alto, California and the pioneer and inventor of Minimally Invasive Surgery which made him the perfect choice to introduce the surgery simulation platform of the future.

After Dr. Nezhat spoke about the history of laparoscopic surgery, he introduced the much anticipated 3D video by Mimic Technologies showcasing the latest innovations in surgery simulation. The product preview included a look at MSim 2.0, the new Suturing and Knot Tying packages, MLabs and a new Stereoscope – a high fidelity and immersive display specifically designed to emulate the Si system.
