"Acceptability and preliminary face and content validity were demonstrated by the learners in this cohort. We also show evidence that the construct of experience correlated with key performance metrics. The data provide evidence that the dV-Trainer may be appropriate for integration into continuing medical education and residency robotic training curricula."

Proficiency Based Skills Assessment

The dV-Trainer includes extensive tools for managing your own training curriculum. With the latest version of MScore™, educators can build their own training protocols from more than 40 exercises and assign different curricula to each user. A new scoring system utilizes data collected from over 100 experienced surgeons and assessment is based on expert mean and standard deviation metrics similar to the FLS™ protocol.*

Customizable Training Protocols

  • Create personalized training curricula for different trainees.

  • Customize scoring to emphasize important evaluation metrics.

  • Export and import curricula, including exercises, completion order, and scoring baselines, to facilitate collaboration and sharing.
  • Integrate your own surveys or exams to extend training and assessment.

Performance Evaluation

  • Exercise reports can be viewed at a glance to quickly identify performance deficiencies.

  • A wide variety of evaluation metrics enable comprehensive assessment of a trainee's surgical skills.

  • View an array of graphs that detail performance history by individual metrics and exercises.

  • Trainees can export individual reports in order to verify proficiency.

  • Sort and export a wide variety of performance data for further review and analysis in Excel.

Performance Based Scoring

  • Utilizes data collected from more than 100 experienced surgeons with over 75 robotic cases completed.

  • Assessment is based on expert mean and standard deviation data to facilitate credentialing and privileging.
  • Users can change proficiency baselines and customize the scoring protocol to fit needs of individual institutions.
  • Users can choose between the new Proficiency Based System and the legacy Classic System.
  • Trainees can export individual results and administrators can generate proficiency reports to verify skill level.
