The dV-Trainer® network

When you invest in a dV-Trainer, you become part of the largest network of visionary robotic surgery simulator users in the world. We actively encourage and facilitate collaboration and learning between our forward-looking surgeons, educators, and institutions. Within the network, users share best practices, implementation strategies and training curricula, and collaborate on validation studies and research projects.

Installation and training

All systems are installed by our dedicated service professionals with the goal to get you up and running as soon as possible with minimum interruptions. We partner with your surgeons, training personnel, and administrators to incorporate the dV-Trainer into your residency program and/or robotic surgery program. Our joint goal is to help your residents, fellows, and surgeons get up the da-Vinci® learning curve as quickly as possible. Our on-site training programs cover the following important topics:

  • Troubleshooting
  • Systems administration
  • Customized curriculum and scoring
  • MScore Performance Evaluation & metric

Service plan

To protect your investment and maximize training time on your simulator, the dV-Trainer is shipped with a one-year limited warranty and first year service plan coverage. This plan includes:
  • Spare parts for installation by customer
  • In-Factory repair service
  • Limited On-Site repair service

Customers with current service plans will also receive software updates. This extends the value of the plan beyond hardware repair and includes:

  • New exercise additions to current skills modules
  • Bug fixes and patches
  • Version updates of dV-Trainer base software
  • Version updates to optional software modules (if applicable)

To ensure that your software is always up-to-date and prevent simulator downtime and delays after the initial warranty expires, we encourage you to take advantage of our service plan in subsequent years.
